June Singings Recap!

I had the pleasure of attending two back to back book signings which were both amazing. I swear, I just love meeting readers and talking to other authors, to learn and grow from their experience. And on the way to my second signing I was able to catch my friend, and cover model for Refining Balance, Jada Lange, so that I could give her, her copy of Refining Balance.

Wild Deadwood Reads

My first ever book signing was at Wild Deadwood Reads in, you guessed it Deadwood, South Dakota. The signing is run by Ginger Ring and Linda Rae Sande. I remember going as my mom’s P.A. Several years ago, but coming as an author was so different and wonderful. I met so many people who were interested in my debut novel, and allowed me to talk their ears off about all sorts of things. I can’t wait to go back next year.

Midwest Bookish Fest

The next signing I went to was Midwest Bookish Fest in Bloomington, Minnesota. The signing is run by Bee who is a rockstar. I went as a P.A. last year for the inaugural event, and honestly, this year was even better which is saying something. The signing involved two signing days, a masquerade ball, panels, and a Sinister Sunday brunch. One of the cool things that happened was that I sponsored a mocktail based off of Refining Balance that was delicious, and from what I heard from the bartender, it was a big success. I had an absolute blast and made so many wonderful friends, and connected with some great people.

Oh, and on a non signing note, I attended my very first baseball game. My mom has been telling me that I am supposed to be a 3rd Gen Dodger fan but sports are not my thing. Needless to say I brought a book, but ended up watching the whole game (I think Shohei Ohtani had something to do with that!).
